April 2026

Landowners testify at a MN House Legacy Finance Committee meeting. A vote is scheduled to take place 4/15/2026.


March 2026

Landowners testify in a MN Senate Environment Committee meeting. Legislators voted unanimously to pause funding. 


2026 

Legislators meet with landowners to discuss options to support landowners against Watershed District actions. Experts identify 100+ landowners and 12,600 acres of private land at risk. 


2026

Landowners continue to make their case filed in May of 2025 against the RRWD and the unconstitutionality of its use of 103D/103E customs and practices to take private land without due process or just compensation. Case is in Discovery/Summary Judgment stage.


2025 

Landowners file a legal case against the RRWD and its Board Members  for 4 specific instances that demonstrate systemic violations, trespass, theft, conversion and landowner abuse. 


2025 

Landowners seek legislation with Minnesota legislators in the Senate and Assembly to close a legislative loophole used by RRWD to take private land without process or compensation.

Landowners win settlement in wrongful destruction of soil embankment theft trespass on private property legal case.


2024

RRWD destruction of soil,l embankment theft, trespass on private property legal case filed by landowners.


2022 

Landowners demonstrate at the Minnesota State Capitol against the projects.


March 2021 

Board votes on new operational plan.

MN DNR extends EAW determination, seeking more information on alternative 1.

Board votes to change preferred alternative from 2A to alternative 1, during public comment period.
